"Beyond Worried: A Conversation about Teens and Anxiety"

Presented by: Dr. Thea Gallagher and Kate Brett

September 13, 2021
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Our presenters are co-hosts of Mind In View Podcast. Thea is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselor. You will often see her interviewed, quoted, or otherwise featured in the media as a mental health expert. She is a Leo who almost never takes a break from overachieving, except to cuddle with her adorable toddler, Georgia, and take in some trashy TV or a Sixers game. Kate is a mental health advocate who was treated for a severe case of OCD eight years ago at the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety at the University of Pennsylvania. Following her successful treatment, she started a support group at the center, which is where she met and got to know Thea—the group continues to meet monthly. As a Pisces, Kate has a deep empathy that is both a superpower and a curse; she believes it is her responsibility and her privilege to share her story in the hopes that one person might suffer less as a result.
